Dr. Ibraheem Mikail Abiola is a lecturer at the Department of History and International Studies, University of Ilorin, Nigeria. He graduated from the Islamic University of Madinah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia where he had his pre-degree diploma programme in language studies, and B.A minoring in History before he proceeded to the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) for his M.sc and PhD. Prior before his educational career in Malaysia, he worked as a trained translator for the Ministry of Hajj, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia during hajj seasons while he was a student in the Kingdom. Dr Ibraheem was a former research fellow at the Centre for Migration Studies, Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Nigeria.

He has published his research articles in many reputable academic journals with Scopus indexed Q2 inclusive published by the (Malaysian Institute of Planners). Recently, Dr. Ibraheem is nominated to serve on monitoring the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC) on the extent of the implementation of the re-introduction of History at basic education level in Nigeria. Dr. Ibraheem has actively participated and presented academic papers in over 20 international conferences in countries like Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Malaysia, Nigeria, Brunei Darussalam and South Africa.
