Dr Abiodun Shamsideen Afolabi

History & International Studies
Abiodun S. AFOLABI obtained PhD in History from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria. His area of doctoral research is economic history, focusing on tax-related revolts in Southwestern Nigeria. He was a 2008 Codesria Fellow for a Writing Workshop in Uganda and a 2011 Fellow, American Council of Learned Societies (ACLS). He was until October, 2012 Head, National Archives of Nigeria, Abeokuta, Ogun State, Nigeria. He is currently the Head of Department of History and International Studies, University of Ilorin, where he teaches some courses. He also doubles as Chief Archivist of the Archives and Documentation Centre (UADC) of the same university. He has credits in reputable academic journals and books.
