Dr. Adeniyi Justus ABOYEJI is a Reader, former Postgraduate Co-ordinator in the Department of History and International Studies, and currently, the pioneer Deputy Director (Academic), Centre for Cultural Studies and Creative Arts, University of Ilorin, Ilorin, Nigeria. He obtained his Ph.D. in History and a Postgraduate Diploma in Education, among other degrees. He is a member of the Historical Society of Nigeria (HSN) and a Member of its Committee on Research Grants and Special Projects. He was co-researcher for the 2016-2017 TETFund Institution-Based Research Fund Award and currently co-researcher of the Unilorin Senate Research Grant (SRG) (Special Intervention) 2021-2022 Award and TETFund National Research Fund (NRF) Grant Award 2023. His research interests straddle Inter-group Diplomacy and Economic History with particular reference to the Igbomina Cultural group in North-eastern Yorubaland. This interpolative bearing is not unconnected with the socio-economic-cum-cultural and political changes that have come to bear on the Igbomina people. He has published widely in indexed journals and notable chapters in scholarly books. He has attended both National and International conferences with papers read. He is also a visiting faculty/lecturer to other institutions.
